One of my favorite places in the world to visit is Mackinac Island in Michigan. It is amazing! It is most famous for the fact that it has the only highway in the United States that prohibits motorized vehicles. In place of motorized vehicles, people get around on bicycles or in horse drawn carriages. Some even ride horseback. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my mobile phone coverage included the entire island. This is significant because most of the island is covered in state park land which is mostly forests. This coverage makes me feel safe when I am there because if I am in need of help, I know that I can call for it.
