I’ve heard all kinds of crazy things that you can do to keep mosquitoes away while camping. Some of them work really well (amazingly) and some of them are just complete crap. I’ll admit that mosquitoes tend to go after other people before they start biting me (my blood must not be as tasty), but I still can be bit up plenty while I’m out camping in the woods. So I have also taken to making my own homemade bug repellent, and I’m certainly not missing the chemical laden bug spray I used to use. My homemade stuff not only smells better than the stuff you get from the store but it’s also far better for the environment and we could all benefit by being a bit more environmentally friendly these days.
