I use cottage cheese quite a bit and thought I’d share some of my favorite ways to serve it. Cottage cheese is high in calcium and very filling. Especially if you purchase a lower fat version, it’s quite a healthy food that should be part of anyone’s diet.
But what can I make with cottage cheese you may ask. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Serve cottage cheese with a little jelly or preserves for an afternoon snack. Use it instead of butter on toast topped with jelly or fresh fruit. You can also use it almost anywhere you use sour cream to top things including baked potatoes.
Stir equal parts of apple sauce and cottage cheese together for a yummy dessert. You can even add it to fruit yogurts to make them a little more filling and give them more texture.
