Not long ago I overheard two of my sons and their friends discussing their “beards”. The boys are fifteen years old and have just proudly begun to grow enough facial hair to consider shaving, like their fathers and older brothers. I got a kick out of listening to their very serious discussion about which braun shavers were the best and which one they intended to buy. They felt it was important keep their beards under control. Even though I was amused at their seriousness, I understood that, in their minds, this was a big step. The next Saturday morning my sons found new shavers on their bathroom sink.
