In the calcaneus or heel bone tissue, there is one main center as well as another growing region on the back. These two blend together about age fifteen. Before this age, there might be a strain of this growth plate. This is known as Severs disease. There are no long-term difficulty with this since the two areas of the calcaneus fuse together.
