Manny had moved to the UK from Australia six months ago. He had just bought a new motorcycle and wanted to be able to ride it as soon as possible, so he considered filling out and sending a driving licence application online. However, he found out through the website that since he already had a valid driver’s licence issued in Australia, he could drive within the UK on that licence for twelve months, after which he can just exchange it for a GB licence. He wished he had known about it sooner, but he was happy that he would be able to ride his motorcycle without applying for a licence beforehand. He decided to buy a car, too, since he initially wanted to buy a car but wasn’t sure if he’d be allowed to do so.
